Hello Ambush,
This is Ghalib and Collin from Juha, a multi-culti arts company based in Maui. You probably know us better as "The Queens of Gay Palestinian Animal Rights Music," as we are surely at the pinnacle of that growing trend in the music industry (it's being hailed as the next "Latin Explosion").We're doing a mainland tour this summer of a "music box medicine show" called "Orange," and wanted to seduce you into writing a blurby thing about us so that we have tons of screaming fans as we hit the road. Our show even includes an appearance by "The Real Slim Lady," Feminem, and we'll be in New Orleans in July. Thanks,

Subject: San Francisco Party back at IML!
After a brief hiatus, the traditional San Francisco party is back at International Mr. Leather 2001! The SF Leather Hospitality Suite will also be "party central" in Chicago May 24-28.The San Francisco Party will be from 10pm to midnight, Friday May 25 in the Room PDR16 (5th floor) of the Palmer House Hilton Hotel. Returning with pride, this event has traditionally been the Bay Area's chance to show the rest of the leather world how we do it here in Sodom-by-the-Sea. Hosted by past IML's and San Francisco residents David Kloss (1979), Lenny Broberg (1992) and Bruce Chopnik (1999) The entertainment and details will be in your IML packets. In addition, the SF Leather Hospitality Suite, will feature events and Hospitality Hours to give IML attendees a little taste of San Francisco. Several Bay Area leather businesses and organizations are cooperating to provide a touch of the Golden State high above the streets of Chicago.

Subject: [GayMediaEvents] FAGS AND DYKES IN IDAHO?
Yes Dorothy! I want to take the opportunity to point you to three websites in the Gem State that are helping bring the rural folks of Idaho/Montana/Wyoming together and also raise LGBT Visibility in Idaho. Many folks outside of Idaho might not consider Idaho a real destination for Gay people, and these three sites are fighting to challenge that stereotype. Besides being home to some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world, Idaho is a great place to live and thrive as a Gay and Lesbian person. If anybody is doing summer travel stories, this might give you some food for thought about Idaho.1) DIVERSITY ONLINE: Idaho's LGBT Newspaper for 16 years, it really represents the rural lifestyle well. We have 12 columns written by everyday folks right here in Boise on every subject from paganism to our original serial portraying the life of Markus Stewart, the love child of the fashion diva of the same last name. We also run Alison Bechdel's Dykes to Watch out for and are home to Doc & Raider. Doc & Raider was very popular in Canada and the US a few years back and Sean Martin has come out of retirement to draw new toons especiallly for Diversity. You can check their upcoming May issue @ http://www.tcc-diversity.com/0501.
2) PRIDEDEPOT.COM: Recently featured as a "HOT WEBSITE" in The Advocate, it is the goal of PrideDEPOT.com TM to offer a fresh and comprehensive Internet community environment that provides access to social, educational and political resources and support, targeting the Northwest United States Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender (GLBT) community and our supporters. Check them out at www.pridedepot.com.
3) GAYIDAHO.COM: Not just another resource directory, GayIdaho.com has 35 categories and helps Web surfers find all sorts of resources for lgbt people. It's updated almost daily and you can find something new and interesting in the Gay world everyday on that site. Check them out at www.gayidaho.com. Thanks!

Subject: Re: Thank you
I want to express my gratitude for the obituary of Michael Gardner in the last issue. I cannot tell you how much it has meant to me and to many others. The loss is still felt greatly, but has been made easier by the grace of seeing a bit of him in your paper. I am very glad we still have an alternative paper in the area. Your kindness and patience with me over the phone was extraordinary. With heart felt thanks,
--Taran Gardner
