Fantastic stuff you've got. Just thought I'd let you know, but you probably know that already, right! Anyway, I'll come back in the future.

Subject: Re: Rainbow Award
Hi there! I feel honoured to receive the Rainbow Award for the month of May from you and I have already added it to my index page.
Thank you very much for your encouragement in keeping my webpage an informative source for gay people all over the word, I really do appreciate it. With best wishes and take care,

Subject: New Orleans
My boyfriend and I are coming to New Orleans at the end of May. I have never been to New Orleans, but have heard that it is gay friendly. Can you give any advise on areas that we might want to avoid? Is it OK to show Public Display of Affection (PDA) in the gay areas? Is the gay area in one location, or is it spread about. Do you have any highly recommend sights/events to see/enjoy during May 29-31 ? By the way we will be staying in the Garden District and will have a vehicle for travel. Any advise you could give would be greatfully appreciated.
Please send your response to forfun74@hotmail.com. By using this address, I will be able to pick up the email, not matter where I am in the country. Currently, I don't have AOL downloaded on all of my PC's. Not even sure I want to stay with AOL, but that is a story you don't want to here, nor do I want to tell. Well ... enough of the boring rumbling on. Like I said before, any advise you could give us to make this one of hopefully many furture visits to New Orleans would be GREATFULLY APPRECIATED. Hope to here from you soon, so we can make reservations, if necessary. Thanks for reading this long, and here I go again, boring letter.

Well, kiss my d**k and tell me I'm pretty!
I'm plain-and-simply thrilled to be selected as a recipient of your Rainbow Award. To be honest, I never dreamed I'd actually be selected when submitting my site for consideration. I've proudly (and prominently) added the award logo to my site with a link to the gay america awards page. I've also added a link to the gay america home page from my Ackno(w)ledgements page.
Please extend my most sincere appreciation to the Rainbow Committee. I'm deeply honored.

Hi Guys, Friends and I are coming down to SD'98 from up north, New Haven, CT to be exact. For some this will be their first time. Can you send us a list of the hottest places to stay and things to do. Are there any gay beaches in the area? What are the best guesthouses to stay in that get the hottest crowds? You can reach us at rmganetcom.com. Thanks!!!From: Pravda7@aol.com

Subject: Hello.
I am writing this note to inform you that as a new resident in northern Wyoming I took the liberty of calling the only gay bar you have listed for Billings Montana. Although said listing did give me a glimmer of hope that there may indeed be intelligent, or at least non-heterosexual, life in the vicinity, I am loathe to inform you that it's not a gay baar at all but a casino. And according to the man who answered the phone, NOT a gay casino, I just wanted to let you know so that you can consider taking it out of your web site, to spare anyone else who may find themselves in this odd predicament any dashed hopes. Subject: LA Hate Crimes Law
To whom it may concern, I have, for the past 18 months, been trying to obtain custody of my 4 year old daughter. My ex husband and his family have fought, lied and manipulated the court system to prevent this. I am a lesbian mother and have admitted my homosexuality. The court system has allowed his manipulation, and even encouraged it. While I have written to every agency I can think of, including, but not limited to, the ACLU, LAGPAC,NCLR, I have not even been able to get an attorney referral that will take my case because of the location ... Calcasieu Parish. I am living in Jefferson Parish, and while many local attorneys think my case is worthy, the distance factor makes the case less appealing to them. The National Organizations claim the case is not "newsworthy". However, I did receive a letter from the ACLU, stating my case is worthy of further investigation on their part. That is the last I have heard.I talked with someone in your organization recently. Something that was said sparked an interest on my part ... an avenue yet explored. Hate Crimes. My ex husband has unmercifully harrassed me and my partner through the phone company, pager service, US Postal Service, etc. After calling the local Sheriff's Dept last year and being told that if I didn't want to receive such harrassment that I should just "not open my mail", and being told by the Postal Service, that while such things were illegal, they didn't "get involved" in domestic matters, I felt totally helpless. He was not only being allowed by the system to keep my daughter, who has not been allowed in my home in the past 18 months, but he was being allowed to torment me in every other facet of my life as well. I have numerous taped phone conversations and voice mail messages that he has left ... most quite vulgar. I have handwritten letters from him, signed by him, as well as other things done anonymously ... such as sending a note via the US Post Office to neighbors in my 1700 unit apartment complex in Houston, stating my name, apartment number, my partners name, that we worked in a local hospital and were lesbians, and they should all "hide their children" from us. My question is: I know I am not the only woman in this type situation. Why am I not able to receive any help through the agencies that are there for us? I am a Registered Nurse, working at Tulane University Hospital in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit. My partner and I own a home. We don't break any laws. We are "normal" people. Why is this allowed to happen? I know you don't have an answer to that, I really don't expect to ever get an answer to that. I just want to be allowed to raise my daughter in peace. Any suggestions on this matter would be greatly appreciated. I am continuing to explore attorney referrals on the custody issue. Maybe you might have some ideas on exploring this through the Hate Crimes Laws in Louisiana. Anything you have to offer would be helpful. Thank you for your time and consideration. Sincerely,
