The longest-running play in New Orleans theatre history (The Fudgeripple Follies was the longest running cabaret show), is reprised once again with its author, Ricky Graham, providing his immaculate direction. Hysterically funny, this New Orleans-specific play tells of the trials and tribulations of an all-woman carnival krewe in trying to put on a Mardi Gras ball. Rivertown Rep ends its current season with this musical comedy about the effects of procreation on three couples and their voyage to parenthood. The final offering of the Broadway Series, this is a musical reworking of the hit movie of the same name which was NOT a Broadway success. This present incarnation is yet another rewrite from the team of John Weidman (book), Richard Maltby, Jr., (lyrics) and David Shire (music). Carl Walker reprises his hit musical revue of songs from the 70s that played this venue two years ago. With musical direction by Jack Fowler, costumes by Roy Haylock and Charlotte Lang and promising a more elaborate set than the original by designer Ron Williams, this edition boasts the return of Wess Hughes, Charlotte Lang and Danon Smith from the original production.
