Pensacola Expects 40,000-60,000 Revelers Memorial Day Weekend; Economic Impact Could Reach $33 Million T
Abracadabra X May 30: Abracadabra will fill the Pensacola Florida Civic Center to overflowing with thousands of party boys and spectacular decorations! The award winning circuit party has solidly anchored an ever-growing weekend of incredible fun and excitement.
Johnny Chisholm and Oz started with one party 10 years ago, now the weekend overflows into the week with 11 Official Weekend Events, plus four NEW parties (Thursday and Monday) at Oz’s sister club Emerald City, Capt' Fun and Flounder's.
The weekend begins Thurs., May 27, with the all new Foreplay, with DJ Jay-R manning the tables at Emerald City; 9pm-3am. Then, Fri., May 28 start partying poolside at Bounce I, 4pm-8pm, at Hampton Inn on the Beach, featuring the talents of DJ Tracy Young; followed later that night by the beach party Wave, 10pm-5am, and the talents of DJ Don Bishop. Other party promoters just stare open-jawed at the crowds on the beach, and wonder how Johnny Chisholm does it. (It’s Magic!).
Visit the beautiful beaches Saturday ( May 29) morning, but make sure you’re at the second poolside party at Hilton On The Beach, Bounce II, spotlighting the mesmerizing sounds of DJ Kimberly S, 2-6pm, that afternoon then head over to Emerald City for the party that requires TWO dance floors – Sweat, headlined by the incomparable DJ David Knapp, 9pm-3am. Or you can take in Forbidden 1, the first girl party with DJ of the Year Mary Pappas at Capt' Fun. Don’t stop there, DJ Tony Moran keeps the groove going after-hours at Spellbound I, 2am-9am, The Annex.
Bounce III, just added to the schedule, 2pm-6pm, with DJ Alyson Calagna is Sunday (May 30) afternoon at the Hilton on the Beach. Everything you’ve experienced so far during the weekend is just preparation.
Sunday night, the grand-daddy of all circuit parties, Abracadabra X, 9pm-4am, is hosted in the Pensacola Civic Center! This year, top-rated DJ Manny Lehman will provide Abracadabra’s vibe. Words simply cannot describe it ... you really have to see it to believe it. And it doesn’t stop there! There's also Forbidden 2 (the second Girl Party) at Flounder's 9pm-3am with DJ of the Year Mary Pappas. Spellbound II and DJ Barry Harris keep the enchantment of Abracadabra pumping well into the next morning, 2am-9am at The Annex. If that’s still not enough, Emerald City hosts the all new closing party, Climax and Drink & Drown Extravaganza Monday night with sounds by DJ Dewight Barkley, 9pm-3am.

Flounder's Beach Ball May 29: New this year to Pensacola's Memorial Day Weekend blowout is Flounder's Beach Ball set for Sat., May 29, 9pm til, 800 Quietwater Beach Rd. in Pensacola Beach. The free concert benefits Appetite For Life, EASE and Art For AIDS.
The concert and show features the Queen of Disco, Shannon (Let The Music Play), Prolific Sound with DJ Fletcher, Flounders' Village People Cast and local celebrities.
