A Gay Bond?

reports that we all know Bond,
James Bond, always gets the girl. But if Rupert Everett has his way, Bond gets the boy! Everett is busy writing a screenplay in which 007 is Gay. The un-closeted Everett says he doesn't know whether the idea stands a chance, but he's having fun with it anyway.
As for Pierce Brosnan, who has his third Bond film, The World Is Not Enough, coming out (oops!) later this year, no word on his thoughts about a Gay 007. No doubt he'll be shaken, not stirred.
The column goes on to report that the other action thriller of 1999, The Thomas Crown Affair, has tested so well, MGM plans to open the film "wide" in 2,000 theaters in Aug., rather than June. (MGM has figured out that Aug. is the "hot" month for this particular movie.) The studio expects a sizzling late summer box office.
Dick Falling Into Pieces

isexual funnyman Andy Dick
is joining the cast of the new
film Picking Up the Pieces, portraying a priest in the comedy. Other cast members include Woody Allen, Sharon Stone, Fran Drescher, Elliott Gould, Kathy Kinney, Cheech Marin, Lou Diamond Phillips and David Schwimmer. Dick, who is currently touring the country promoting his autobiographical opera The Big Dick Show, will next be seen on the big screen with Matthew Broderick and Rupert Everett in Inspector Gadget which opens July 23.
