Becky, I'm coming to New Orleans for a visit in a couple of weeks and wanted to know if the lesbian bars are pretty friendly down there?

Greetings! I was browsing through the "Places of Interest" section of your Gay New Orleans page today. I was interested to check out your listing on the Louisiana State Museum, and especially the Old U.S. Mint. You noted that we have a jazz exhibit there, and I am the curator of that exhibit and collection. Thanks for giving us some welcome visibility for gay visitors. It's appreciated But there was one error that I'd ask you to correct. We no longer have the "Streetcar Named Desire" on display there. It used to stand behind the Mint near the flea market, but it was removed five or six years ago. This was just before I joined the staff, but I understand that it always was a loan from RTA, not museum property, and it was decided that since we couldn't really care for it properly in that location, it was better to return it. Unfortunately, while we had it it was heavily promoted, and the fact that it's gone hasn't gotten around. To this day we get people walking in asking for it. So could you edit your page and remove the streetcar? It would prevent a few more disappointed visitors. Thanks.

Thanks! I am leaving today for N.O. and wanted to get some last minute info. Your sight had some great things. I really liked the dictionary. Please add in the correct pronunciation for the phrase "Let the good times roll." Keep up the great work.
