A new "New York style" cabaret has opened on the Avenue with the premiere of this new musical revue by director Carl Walker which is a musical and visual extravaganza of the 40's and 50's and features M.I. Ricky Graham reprises his comic masterpiece, and the longest running original comedy in New Orleans theatre history, that concerns the problems of the members of the fictitious all-female Krewe of Terpsichore, when the treasurer absconds with the ball money. The Summer Lyric Theatre continues its summer season with yet another production of this Rodgers & Hammerstein, Lindsay & Crouse chestnut. Summer Lyric Theatre ends its summer season with another golden oldie by George Abbott with music and lyrics by Richard Adler and Jerry Ross that is a wry twist on the Faust story-Joe Boyd sells his soul to the devil (and the devil's sexy siren, Lola) for a chance to play in a World Series against the hated NY Yankees. Richard Hutton is Joe Boyd and Leonard Raybon is his transformed avatar, Joe Hardy. Jorinda Junius is Lola and Alton Geno plays Applegate, the Devil.
