Subject: Hurricane Love Leaves Legacy
I have just finished reading a letter from Southern Decadence Grand Marshal XXV Miss Love, printed in the June 26-July 9,1998 edition of Ambush . In that letter Miss Love tries to justify the excuses she gives for changing the location of the coronation ceremony for GM XXVI from the MRB to another location. Miss Love implies that Ambush Magazine printed advertising regarding the coronation ceremony at the MRB and included that same information on their web sites for all the world to see ,contrary to her original intentions.Who does Hurricane Love think she is kidding? I do not believe Miss Love's poor attempt to cover up what actually happened. Obviously, Miss Love informed someone, namely Ambush, of her intentions regarding the coronation at the MRB. Why would Ambush risk their reputation by printing the date, time, and location of the coronation of GMXXVI against Miss Love's wishes????? This event is an integral part of Southern Decadence, a celebration second only to Mardi Gras in New Orleans. Hurricane Love is supposed to be the one who plans the event.
Ambush cannot possibly be anything except shocked and embarrassed by Miss Love's "selling out at the last minute" approach to what appears to be a situation involving a "lucrative offer". A tea dance??????? Please. I, for one, am counting the days until Hurricane Love blows herself out....WHEREever and WHENever .I also hope this serves as a reminder to future Grand Marshals of the importance of selecting a truly decadent Grand Marshal, not a greedy one. As for Hurricane's legacy...DUD, YA KNOW...PITY! It will be interesting to see who will be the new manager of the you know WHEREever!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for your special tour! There aren't enough adjectives to describe it. I had a smile on my face the whole time. My girlfriend is there as I type this and I will be on my way Wednesday. I can't wait! She had never heard of Petunia's. I've been talking and talking about it, so we are going. See you on the street!!!!

My friend and I were recently watching our first Pride Parade in Atlanta. It was our first big gay event since we moved up here. The parade was a let down after all of the glitz and glamour I have seen in the New Orleans Parades, HOWEVER, I would have to say, one of the most entertaining things to roll by on wheels was MR SONNY CLEVELAND.From: Matt Weldon

Subject: Best Voyeur Hang-Out?
Hello!! Looking forward to coming down to New Orleans for my FIRST Decadence!! Been there twice for MArdi Gras and LOVED IT!! But want to know, WHERE (besides The Rawhide and upstairs at LeFites) is the best place to just go and WATCH??? I LOVE Rawhides and LeFites, but can do without the crowdedness of both places. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!! Thanks!
