Flickin' with Brad men

Hardbody 2000

Hardbody 2000 is the latest from Chi Chi Larue, and it has its moments but just isn't quite as good as past efforts. The entire movie was certainly erotic enough with lots of sex and plenty of meat. I don't really think a porno-travelogue with a bunch of movie previews is what the public expects from the great Larue. Don't misunderstand what I'm saying here. It's a fun movie but on a scale of 1 to 10, I would have to stretch a lot to give it a 5.

My favorite scene was actually the first one with Tony Donovan. Talk about close-ups. This was the very best you will find anywhere, and it must have been a good 12 inches or fairly close to it. This was termed the "video virgin," and I was overly excited throughout the scene. It was keeping me glued to the action as it just kept swinging and swaying in the breeze. And to top it all off, there was a grand finale with a bucket load of juice, and afterwards, it just kept swinging and jumping and swaying. Wow!

Larue takes you to New York and Paris in this film, and along the way, a bunch of new talent comes into view. He introduces Logan Reed and Jake Andrews as twins separated at birth, but I have to disagree. Jake is mighty good, but my Logan is the very best. He and that "Mardi Gras Cowboy" are really special. Andrews, Reed, Will Clark, Wade Peters, Kyle McKenna, Daryl Brock, J.C. Carter, Tony Boy, and Johnny O were really special guests and only seen briefly. More action here would have been better than casual comments and brief flashes of flesh.

The interview with director Jerry Douglas was nice but seemed out of place. I was pleased to hear what he had to say about his writing, but I could hardly wait to see the next organs. That would be Gabrielle Peron and Doug Jeffries at the King Night Club. This was a hot scene, and the action got a little rough. Supposedly, Jeffries was the pro and Gabrielle was the virgin. Now let me tell you, that virgin looked more like the pro. He was all over Doug and couldn't wait to get his mouth on that big log. Big is also the description for Gabrielle. My complaint here would be the tattoos. I only mention this because it's a turn-off for me. Otherwise, this little virgin certainly was whistling "Dixie" when Doug got through with him. It was agony and joy - Larue style.

I really did enjoy the interview with Tom Chase. He told all about that scene with Mike Branson in California Kings. He made a lot of sense talking about the leather scene, and when all was said and done, he came away with a more macho image than before. Gettin' on the bottom did wonders for him. There's also a brief scene with Tom dancing nude.

Chris Green is the co-host of this video, and he joins up with David Pierre in Paris, and they do the travel bit. Eventually, they set their sights on a three-way, compliments of Pierre, Loic Herault, and Richard Powers.

Next up comes a fascinating look at Gabrielle and Oscar, the famous twins. They were in a scene with Brett Ford that was hot. The Hal Rodman and Wolf combo came off okay too, but finishing up a video with previews seemed to take away from the overall image being created here.

What started out to be a good idea turned out to be a movie with bits and pieces of the good, the bad, and the ugly. Sorry, Chi Chi, but you've done better. However, I will admit, that song you did at the disco was great. Hello, Apollo! Here I come!
