Offer Free Access To Internet

The New Orleans Contemporary Arts Center and NewOrleans.Net, producer of NOLA Live (, have joined forces to offer locals and visitors to New Orleans a chance to "cruise the Web" while enjoying coffee, cocktails and lunch daily.

At the NewOrleans.Net Cafe, Webheads, artists and first-time Internet surfers can travel the World Wide Web, E-mail friends, explore online museums and art galleries, check stock quotes or peruse favorite Internet sites for FREE.

Allen Bell, New Orleans.Net general manager says, "The NewOrleans.Net Cafe will generate increased interest in both the CAC and New Orleans.Net. We are excited about what's to come for the cafe and the new opportunities this affords us both."

All of the computers at the cafe are connected to the Internet via a T1 Internet connection, a state-of-the-art, high-speed line that allows surfers to travel the Internet without having to wait for files to download.

"The NewOrleans.Net Cafe is a place where locals and visitors to New Orleans can learn about and enjoy the Internet by themselves or with their friends in a relaxed environment," said Lindsay Ross, CAC Director of Marketing. "The CAC looks forward to working with New Orleans.Net to broaden awareness of the cafe and allow the people of New Orleans to learn about the Internet."
