Pride Is Firing Up Again!
Love & The Universe

A short break after PrideFest's most successful year in 1997 has brought the Alliance of Pride board back to the table to start preparing for PrideFest '98. The new executive board seats have been filled: Sonny C. Cleveland & Kay Thomas - Co-Chairs; Susan Smith & Ron Wilcox - Vice Chairs; Stephen Graffeo - Secretary; Keith Oalmann - Treasurer.

The Alliance has lots of new ideas being laid out for this year's Pride celebration. With the strong push to "outdo" '97, the Alliance will be recruiting new members all year long, putting together lots of new Park activities and seeking new talent. The Alliance is even trying to implement a "speaker's corner" for those who would like to speak and/or hear about topical issues concerning our community.

This year's theme is "PLANET PRIDE!" The board is now taking submissions for this year's logo to be used throughout this year's Pride campaign. To submit your logo design, contact the Pride office at 504.949.9555 and leave your name and phone number.

Keep watch for the Alliance's recruiting tables to be set up at various locations throughout the year so you can sign up and be a part of PrideFest '98.
