Dear Ambush, I read with great interest the recent article (Jan 23) reporting the decision by many local Gay and Lesbian activists to boycott the upcoming HRC Dinner. Although I believe such action will have only a minimal effect, if any, the moral principal upon which the decision to boycott rests is irrefutable and the symbolism is clear: What's right takes precedence over pragmatism. As a transgendered person, it's reassuring to see this kind of leadership. Thank you Stewart, Charleen, Jim, Skip and everyone else involved with this endeavor.

Rip, Marsha, and Friends, Just a note from Vicksburg, Miss. to say hello and hope your Mardi Gras is wonderful. My 3 buddies and I will be down at my apt. on Chartres for the "big day". As usual we will wave at y'all on the balcony. We always admire y'all's festive spirit and decorations and appreciate Ambush and all y'all's positive efforts in the gay community. With thanks and best wishes,

I agree with Mr. Edward Q. Castle on the subject of Teryi-lynn Foxx. While I do not have ten years on the job experience I have had the delight of meeting and getting to know Teryl-Lynn. She is a dynamo in her profession and the sole reason that I returned to a drag show for the second time. So one can only imagine my delight when after repeated trips to her appearances was able to meet her face to face. She is a delightfully warm and loving person. While she may remain a mystery to everyone, one thing about her is certainly not mysterious, Teryl-Lynn is indeed a great friend to those of us that have had the joy of getting to know her. Some things in life need not be understood or analyzed, but enjoyed. Teryl-Lynn Foxx is one. I may not know many things about her, but this is the most important thing that anyone will ever need to know about her she is a beautiful person inside and out.
