Super Star Studded Show
Raises Over $1,200
for New Orleans Gay Easter Parade

The first Super Star Studded Drag Extravaganza, boasting some 24 performance pieces in just two hours, raised over $1,200 for the Official New Orleans Gay Easter Parade. This year's parade benefits the erection of the New Orleans AIDS Monument, Esplanade Ave., nearest the River. Hosted at the Shim Sham Club on Toulouse, the show starred many of New Orleans finest entertainers. Originally, Tonisha Thompson [TT}, who lined up the extravaganza, was set to emcee with Michael "Fish" Hickerson. When TT was unable to attend due to illness, Connie Marcelle stepped up to the mic to fill in. Hickerson and Marcelle started the show promptly at 8pm, and even with some 24 performances, ended the show at 10:03pm. No drag time here! It's great to see a show start and end on time. Bravo!

celebs2 Easter Grand Marshals [EGM] III Teryl-Lynn Foxx & Timm Holt, who will lead New Orleans 3rd Gay Easter Parade, were honored guests, and were presented with two beautiful bouquets of fresh flowers.

Special thanks to all of the entertainers including Amon Ra's The Dixie Chunks, EGM III Teryl-Lynn Foxx of Oz fame, Marcy Marcell of the Golden Lantern, King Cake Queen IX Lisa Beaumann of Oz and the Corner Pocket, Victoria Denmark, Amber Nicole Welch, Nikki Rich of Oz, past Queen of Mwindo Connie Marcelle, Armeinius & Ambush's Phyllis Denmark, Donnie Jay-Regina Ann & Ken of the Slutpuppies, Opal Masters with a special dedication to the late Ramona Leger and EGM III Teryl-Lynn Foxx, Miss Gay Louisiana America Asya Alexander, Khlorocks Bleachman of the Corner Pocket and Slutpuppies, Amon Ra's Bambi, Armeinius's Miss Gay Pride Monica Storm, Tiffany Holiday, Queen Amon Ra 23 Lauren Brown, Ursuline Burgundy of Parliament House West, and Amon Ra's Gizelle.
