The Easter Grand Marshals (EGMs) Coronation 2004 presented Brett Messmer and Princesse Stephaney as EGMs V at Cowpokes in New Orleans. They were selected for their outstanding participation in the parade and its fund-raisers since its inception 5 years ago. The new grand marshals will lead the the 5th Annual Official New Orleans Gay Easter Parade, benefiting Food For Friends, on Easter Sunday, Apr. 11, through the streets of the French Quarter beginning and ending on N. Rampart St., the Gay gateway to the Vieux Carre' in New Orleans. Janice Medlock, John Parry, Sylvia Schroeder and Bobby Ramone joined the Krewe of Evil & Mischief Oscar Party hosted by Chet Robin and JR Stansbury at Chet's Pub in New Orleans. Medlock and Schroeder celebrated their 18th anniversary the following week at Big Daddy's during Rusty LaRoux's Zoo Revue in New Orleans.


Sylvia Frank and Pat Skelly unveiled and presented their Faberge' style Easter egg creation, the David Egg, featuring the famous statue of David, to Buzzy’s Boys and Girls at the Friendly Bar. The David Egg will be up for auction during the 3rd Annual Buzzy's Easter Brunch set for 11am-3pm Easter Sunday, Apr. 11 at Bywater Bar.B.Que, courtesy of "Bywater" Mike Murray, in New Orleans, benefiting Buzzy's Boys & Girls.


The Krewe of Mwindo presented its new officers at the krewe's 6th annual rush party hosted in the upstairs venue at Orlando's Society Page in New Orleans. The new officers include: President Katie Rivers, Vice President Jessie Penny, Secretary Corey Mickel, Ball Captain Thomas J. Franklin, III, Treasurer Arnold James, Financial Secretary Sean Foster & Special Lts. Joseph McCrory & Keith Carroll.


The "surprise inside" was definitely Wade Burnham (c) who was proclaimed Crack Whore 5 by popular vote at the 5th Annual Crack Whore Ball. Crack Whore virgins Marsha & Rip Naquin-Delain joined the winner with their own interpretation of this year's theme, Cracker Jaxxs on Tour at Chez Vodun in New Orleans.


A few blocks over in the East Village of New York City, Joan Rivers is now holding forth on most Wednesday nights at Fez, a wonderfully atmospheric subterranean club there. "With her trademark voice and fashion style ever in place, Rivers looks great these days...," says Ambush theatre critic Brian Sands, who appears in this photo with Rivers. Peter Paige, Randy Harrison and Scott Lowell popped into New Orleans at Tower Records for the Queer as Folk DVD signing reception for their hit show.
