From: A Jay Eddy
Subject: Sekulow, The Assault On Your Family
[Note: This is what is being circulated by Pat Robertson's alleged "born again" Evangelical-Fundamentalist-associate Jay Alan Sekulow. These misguided individuals appear to have lost sight of the central reason for the "new coming" and turned their backs upon the essence of the Sermon on The Mount, the Golden Rule and Beatitudes.]
HOMOSEXUAL MARRIAGE AND THE ASSAULT ON YOUR FAMILY ...... by Jay Alan Sekulow, Chief Counsel American Center for Law & Justice, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23467-4429
We stopped homosexual activists in Hawaii last year, but now they are putting together a desperate new assault. We cant afford to lose this battle for the family. Please read this letter carefully.
JAY
The homosexual community is about to launch a massive assault on the family, and once again Hawaii is the focus of their attack. Militant homosexual groups from across the nation are joining together to defeat a state-wide referendum in Hawaii this fall. It is all part of the gay and lesbian community's sweeping agenda for 1998 that seeks to redefine the family in their own misguided image! (there is a flyer and donation report enclosed with this letter)
ACLJ attorneys invested thousands of hours to get this issue on a statewide referendum so the people-not a few judges-could decide this crucial matter. I am please to say that ACLJ supporters played a key role in getting the referendum on this fall's ballot.
Now homosexual activists want to steal what you and I have worked so hard for by thwarting this referendum...... If the referendum in Hawaii is defeated, the homosexual marriage will spread like wildfire across American! .... This is why, effective immediately, the ACLJ is implementing a comprehensive plan to defeat homosexual marriage in Hawaii and protect families across America from the homosexual agenda.
First, I have established a special task force dedicated to monitoring and responding to developments in Hawaii. I am personally spearheading this task force, which, which includes senior deputies in the Chief Counsel's office, our research staff, and the ACLJ's on-the-ground team in Hawaii. WE MUST APPLY CONSTANT LEGAL PRESSURE AND BE PREPARED TO COUNTER THE STRATEGIES OF THE MILITANT HOMOSEXUAL LEGAL COMMUNITY.
Second, I am announcing an intense public education campaign headed by the ACLJ to combat the flood of homosexual propaganda that will soon blanket Hawaii.
So far, we have been successful in HOLDING OFF THE ENEMY in the courts of law. Now, we must win the battle in the court of public opinion!
In addition, I must ensure that ACLJ attorneys are ready to respond to the mounting evidence that CHRISTIANS ACROSS AMERICAN ARE BEING HARASSED FOR OPPOSING THE HOMOSEXUAL AGENDA. WE ARE AGGRESSIVELY DEFENDING CHILDREN FROM HOMOSEXUAL INDOCTRINATION IN SCHOOLS ACROSS AMERICA..... the enclosed situational report gives more details on how homosexuals are undermining the family. The fact is, no business, no family, no school-aged child is safe from this sweeping push to re-define marriage and force acceptance of the gay lifestyle.
Please add your voice to mine by signing the enclosed statement of support. In the coming weeks I will take our case to the media and key public officials in Hawaii. Your signature on this statement of support will allow me to say that tens of thousands of concerned Christian citizens have written and asked me to make sure the pro-family voice can be heard above the shouts of the militant homosexual..... Next, please send of a gift of $50, $75, $100. or more today so we can defend the family in the court of public opinion as well as courtrooms across America.......Your friend advocating Jesus,
--Jay Allen Sekulow, Chief Counsel

My best times were during Mardi Gras, but anytime in the "Cresent City" are wonderful. Thanks so very much for your great website. Hope to meet you sometime.

Subject: The Jungle's C&W night
Becky, Just finished your wonderful tour of N.O. There's mention of a country & western night at Rubyfruit Jungle, but which night of the week is it? I ask because I and a dozen other Los Angeles boys are coming to your fair city for southern decadence, and we arrive Thursday afternoon. If Rubyfruit does C&W on Thursday evening I'll tell everyone to bring their boots :) Thanks again for the on-line tour.

SUBJECT: HRC Dinner
Greetings: It is with sorrow that I once again see the New Orleans gay community engaged in self-defeating bickering and feuding. It just doesn't seem to be O. K. to disagree.
Now there are individuals who would actively harm HRC because it isn't right enough. Not because it is evil, but because it does not do all that they think it should by including transgendered persons in ENDA and its mission statement. It makes no sense to me to bring harm to HRC in an effort to change it. It is sad to see. Sincerely,
--Bob Patience
