Ron Gural directs this early Caryl Churchill (Cloud Nine) play which tells the story of two 17th century English farm girls who are named as witches by a man whom they have sexually rejected. Vinegar Tom mixes song, dance and vaudeville to deliver its contemporary feminist message and illustrates how fear contributes to many societal problems including witch-hysteria.
