Ambush Magazine Announces the Top 5 for the 2025 Gay Appreciation Awards

July 29, 2025 By Tomy Acosta

Ambush Magazine is pleased to announce the Top 5 in each category of the Gay Appreciation Awards (GAA). Winners will be announced at the GAA Gala which will be held at The Marigny Opera House (725 St. Ferinand Street) on Saturday, August 16th from 6 to 9 pm. The 2025 GAAs will be hosted by French Quarter personalities Jeffrey Palmquist and Frank Perez with local celebrities Tony Leggio and Brian Sands presenting some of the awards. Former Southern Decadence Grand Marshals Tiffany Alexander and Felicia Phillips will welcome guest on the red carpet starting at 6 pm.

Funds raised at the event will be donated to the LGBT+ Archives Project of Louisiana. Tickets can be purchased online at https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/1501272509489?aff=oddtdtcreator

The Top 5 in each category are listed in alphabetical order. If there are 6 listed in the Top 5 it means that there was a tie for 5th place.
