(New Orleans, LA) The LGBT+ Archives Project of Louisiana, a federally recognized non-profit organization, has assumed responsibility for producing Winter Wonderland, an annual charity fundraiser. The event will take place on the evening of Saturday, November 29, at the AllWays Lounge (2240 St. Claude Ave., New Orleans).
Winter Wonderland was founded fifteen years ago by Misti and Catherine Gaither as a fundraiser for local charities. During their stewardship, Winter Wonderland has raised over $100,000 for local organizations. Last year, the Gaithers turned the production of Winter Wonderland over to the LGBT+ Archives Project of Louisiana, a group that preserves local queer history.
Winter Wonderland is a variety show accompanied by a complimentary buffet and silent auction. A king and Queen are presented at the event, and two awards (Icon and Legacy) are given to LGBT+ community members. Proceeds from Winter Wonderland will benefit the LGBT+ Archives Project of Louisiana.
The King and Queen of Winter Wonderland 2025 will be announced on September 25 at a separate event at Le Cabaret bar (834 N. Rampart St., New Orleans) at 6:00pm.
Sponsorship tables and tickets for Winter Wonderland 2025 will be available in the coming weeks. Follow the LGBT+ Archives Project of Louisiana’s Facebook page or subscribe to the organization’s monthly newsletter at their website for more information. https://lgbtarchiveslouisiana.org/
