Nola Softball League to host Bourbon Street Classic Invitational

September 28, 2021 By Community Contributor

NOLA Softball League (NSL), New Orleans’ only non-profit LGBTQ+ softball league, is holding its 10th annual Bourbon Street Classic Invitational: A Decade of Decadence! Beginning Friday, October 1st, through Sunday, October 3rd, enjoy the fabulous fall weather while you get your fixin’ of peanuts and Cracker Jack! Over 40 teams from across the country will be competing for the title of “Bourbon Street Classic Champs” at what is expected to be NSL’s biggest and best tournament yet!

The softball tournament will be held at Val Riess Park in Chalmette on Saturday and Sunday with games running from 8:00am – 7:00pm. Refresh yourself with an ice-cold Bud Light and root for burly boys in baseball bottoms (who cares about the home team!)

The weekend kicks off with the Player Registration Party on Friday, October 1st, at The Bourbon Pub and Parade, from 6:00–10:00pm.

On Saturday night, from 8:00–11:00pm, at Betty’s Bar and Bistro, throw back mac-and-cheese bites while enjoying music by DJ Bubble-Bey.

Finally, on Sunday evening from 7:00–9:00pm, American Townhouse hosts the presentation of awards. Immediately following, celebrate the tournament winners at the Closing Party which will be at The Bourbon Pub and Parade.

A big thank you to tournament sponsors Bud Light, Entergy, and The Bourbon Pub and Parade, for making this tournament possible!
