DANIEL NARDICIO and AMBER MARTIN bring BETTE BATHHOUSE AND BEYOND back to Southern Decadence on Sunday September 4th for its 5th year! Considered by many to be one of the most unique events during Southern Decadence, Powerhouse singer and comedienne AMBER MARTIN recreates one of BETTE MIDLER’s iconic shows at NYC’s infamous gay bathhouse the CONTINENTAL BATHS from 1971. The audience will be required to wear only towels, bathrobes or underwear (BYOT: bring your own towel, or rent one from Dworld Staff for only $2 to recreate the vibe of the famed bathhouse). Famed DJ Johnny Dynell will be playing “Bathhouse Disco” from the era.
Drew Brody will be “Barry” on piano and Amber’s Bette will feature three 20 min all-Bette live performances from the Continental Baths sets of songs performed by Amber Martin plus the Continental go go dancers. Shows are at 10 pm, 11 pm and 12 midnight – then all Bette’s are off!
