* NOAGE New Orleans Walking Group; Lafitte Greenway; 500 Norman C. Francis Parkway 6 p.m. NOAGE’s weekly walking group meets on Mondays at 6:00 PM. They start walking promptly at 6:00, so be sure to arrive a few minutes early. Please consult with your primary care physician before beginning any new fitness regimen, especially if you are not used to regular exercise.

* Algiers Holiday Bonfire and Concert: 200 Morgan St.; 4:30 – 8 p.m. The Algiers Bonfire is Algiers’ largest public event and pays tribute to Louisiana’s river parish bonfire tradition. Listen to musical performances, eat food from local vendors, and shop at the holiday craft market. The star of the event however, is the 30’ sculptural bonfire, designed by NOLA Burners, which is then set ablaze. Easily accessible with the Algiers ferry, and with the New Orleans’ skyline as the perfect backdrop. This year, join us for brass and a bonfire on the batture. Performances by The Young Pinstripe Brass Band, the Edna Karr Marching Band, and others will set the scene for a wonderful Holiday event done New Orleans Style. * Krampus NOLAuf Parade: French Quarter, Marigny Bywater; 7 p.m. Krewe of Krampus is returning to a walking parade on the streets of New Orleans after two years of pivoting to a stationary parade, Krampus NOLAuf 2022 is poised to be even bigger than ever. The Krewe of Krampus is leading the way by elevating not only the creative standards of walking parades, but also in advancing the inclusion and accessibility of both membership and viewership. Proposed Route: (subject to change by NOPD) Starting at Jackson Square the parade will head back to Bywater.. Start at corner of Chartres St. and St. Peter. – Continue up Chartres St. and turn left on Port St. – Turn right onto Dauphine St. – Turn right on to Piety St. – End at corner of Piety St. and Royal St.
