• Pioneers of Women’s Carnival Opening Reception: The Presbytere; 751 Chartres St., New Orleans; 6–9pm. This exhibition celebrates pioneering female Mardi Gras krewes that in late 19th Century New Orleans established a space for women in Carnival, inspiring future women’s krewes that continue to lead Mardi Gras organizations today. The exhibition highlights beautiful costumes, costume drawings, photographs, unique ball favors and parade throws.
